Leaf Print Cards

This is my latest batch of leaf print cards, laid out in the studio to dry.

The patterns and colors are beautiful, and it's all from the leaves themselves -- no paint or dye involved.

I bet you have done a lot of research! They look great - so far I have done 1 piece printed, but finished more than 100 meters of silk leave printed.... they are now off to an exhibition.

Hi Dorie,

It's more like trial and error! Not all leaves print well.

Cassie, these turned out beautiful! Is this all from that book you mentioned a while back. I have not kept up with this. I do want to do this again with kids with better results.

Hi Christina,

Yes, the basics of leaf printing are in India Flint's book, "Eco Colour." I've found that it works better on paper than on fabric.
