I had just finished a commission using these golden yellow, rust orange, sage green and sky blue colors. The commission was mostly rusts, but I was very taken with the yellows, and decided to create a painting where yellow was the primary color with just a little sky blue. Thus was born "Golden Summer" -- a warm summer garden with the sky peaking through. |
