Art-o-Mat Video

I saw this on Heather Lowe's sklog. Thanks for all the great leads, Heather! Heather is creating 50 pieces for Art-o-Mat, and this video is a news clip about the Art-o-Mat concept.

This is a new painting I've been working on -- 24" x 24". I'm not sure I like where this is going.

Luci

Luci

Luci adores the new woven painting! I've never seen her sleep on a painting before. There much be something extra comfy abut this one.

Experimental Work

This is a new experimental piece. I used the canvas as a loom. You can see the brass nails sticking out on the sides. It's interesting, but I'm not sure if it's a direction worth pursuing. 18" x 18", acrylic on canvas, hand-dyed yarn, and brass nails.

Art-o-Mat

Art-o-Mat

I saw this on Heather Lowe's sklog. Art-o-Mat -- cigarette vending machines that have been modified to dispense art. What a great idea! There are machines all over the country, and artists make art in the dimensions of a pack of cigarettes. They have over 400 contributing artists, and they're always looking for new work. How much does art cost from an Art-o-Mat?
