New Diptych
I think this diptych is interesting. Each panel is 36" x 24", latex on canvas. I'm finding that it's difficult to work with latex in this really dry weather. It cracks badly -- I guess because the surface dries too fast -- and the cracks aren't very attractive. I'm hoping for some humidity!Labels: new
New Grouping
This is a new grouping of poured latex paintings. Each panel is 48" x 24", so the overall size of the piece is 48" x 96" or so, depending on how far apart the pieces are hung. Click on the image to see a larger view.Labels: new
myspace
I got hooked into the myspace phenomenon. Check out my myspace profile, and if you're on myspace, add me as a friend. If you're not on myspace, think about joining us. It's fun! I especially like seeing pictures of my friends on my profile page. There's something very comforting about seeing them there, as if they're in the room with me.
Common Art
What a good idea! Common Art is part of Ecclesia Ministries in Boston. Ecclesia Ministries offers spiritual and emotional support for homeless people, and the Common Art program offers art instruction and supplies. Anyone is welcome to attend the weekly classes taught by artists, and finished artwork is exhibited at the outdoor gridwall gallery. Read more about this inspirational organization at the Ecclesia Ministries website.
