Soy Milk Paint

I'm back to working with the soy milk paints. It's interesting how the paint settles while it's drying and picks up the pattern of whatever is underneath the canvas -- in this case, the bricks of the patio.

Translations Gallery Show

I've been invited to do a solo show, or possibly a two-person show teamed up with a sculptor, at Translations Gallery in Denver. The show will run from May 9 - June 7, 2008, and the opening reception will be on Friday night, May 9th. Translations represents work from my "Decomposition" series, but they also want to show my acrylic and/or latex paintings. Set aside the date!

Update: I'll be doing the show with Christina Yocca, a Wisconsin artist who does fabulous sculptures made from natural materials.

Fall

The light was especially beautiful in the backyard today, and it's starting to look like fall.

Rain

We got a little rain last night, and I love the way the rain drops look on the leaves in the morning.
