Hello Dear Friends,
I’ve been thinking about how to get more of my paintings out into the world. I know that price can sometimes be a barrier to the purchase of original art. So if price is an issue, let’s remove that obstacle by trying something new.
You may have heard of Pay What You Want pricing. It’s a structure where the seller sets a minimum price and the buyer can pay the minimum or more — whatever they feel comfortable paying.
To try this out, I’m offering two new paintings to newsletter subscribers with Pay What You Want pricing. I’ve set a minimum price of $295 for these 24″ x 30″ pieces that includes shipping within the US and Canada. (Contact me for an international shipping quote.) You can pay $295, or you can pay more. It’s totally up to you!
These two new wildly colorful paintings are inspired by the profusion of flowers blooming in my yard. The colors this year are amazing, and there are so many different plants blooming all at once. I chose deeply saturated hues and paired them with a rich phthalo green for a feeling of summer opulence.
It was fun to create these pieces, and they never turn out as I expect. It’s exciting to watch the painting develop and then respond to the serendipity to create the finished work.
