I’m working on four small paintings for a Valentine’s show at Vita Art Center in Ventura. There will be a lot of artists in this show, and we were each given four 6″ x 8″ canvas panels on which to create our art.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so I went in three different directions. Now I don’t know which of the three I like the best, so I thought I’d let you decide.
Group #1 is paintings on unprimed canvas. Quiet and understated, somewhat subtle in colors and design.
Group #2 is also paintings on unprimed canvas. More layers and brighter color combinations.
I still need to finish one piece in Group #3. It’s collages using pieces cut from old magazines. Geometric shapes and words.
What say ye? Which do you like best, Group #1, #2 or #3? I’d enjoy hearing your thoughts. You can share them with us in the comments section below.
With love and appreciation,
