I’m starting a practice of cultivating joy to raise my vibrational energy, and maybe help to elevate the energy of others as well.
There’s a lot of anxiety, uncertainty and fear circulating these days. I don’t know about you, but there are times when I’m stuck in the darkness and I can’t feel any joy at all.
To counteract inertia, I’m looking for small things that make me feel happy in the moment. Here are four things I found to share with you that brought a smile to my face this week.
We’re had our usual May Gray weather here the past few weeks. Low clouds everyday, and only small peeks of the sun in the late afternoon. Sitting in the sun on this wonderful bench made by artist Gary Ryan brings me joy. And sharing the experience with Luci brings me extra joy!
There are hundreds of bees on the Sea Daises this year. I can hear their loud buzzing whenever I get anywhere near this large plant. I like to watch and wonder about them. Where is their hive, where do they go? They’re collecting pollen, but what do they do with it?
This first little tomato on my tomato plant brings me joy. This plant is a brave soldier that survived the winter and continues to flower and set fruit. I didn’t realize tomato plants could live more than one season until this one did.
And this new painting brings me joy. I like to place new art in my house for a while, and it’s currently hanging in the living room where I pass by frequently. The colors and design are delightful!
