Liminal Uncertainty

Hi Friends,

I’ve heard therapists and others in the healing professions say that many people are experiencing periods of intense emotional release right now. Some say it’s because of the shifting consciousness and energy of the planet, and others say it’s the recent plethora of intense solar flares. Whatever the reason, it made me feel better to know that it’s not just me!

When I’m feeling uneasy, I turn to weaving. I find it to be soothing, and it’s way better than comfort eating or any other addiction.

I finished the scarf with a black and periwinkle warp and bright colors in the weft. I really like the way it turned out. Click on the images below for more information and to see these scarves in a browser.

I also completed a scarf that I’m calling “Desert Sand” — rusts, grays and soft oranges with a bit of glitter. This one is pretty, too

Now I’m working on a new piece that has the same warp as “Desert Sand,” but uses pinks and corals in the weft.

If you’re feeling lost, confused and extra emotional these days, you’re not alone. We seem to be in a liminal state and many people are struggling to reinvent their lives post-COVID restrictions. It’s an uncertain time, and I think some anxiety is probably normal. Hang in there! We’ll get through this together.

What are you releasing these days? I’d enjoy hearing your thoughts. You can share them with us in the comments section below.

With love and appreciation,
Cassandra
