Upcoming Show and Finished Catio

Hi Friends,

The deck and catio are finally done, and I thought I’d show you a few pictures of the finished project. It took a lot longer than expected to complete, but it looks great, and the cats are loving it.

The catio features Trex decking, a Sunbrella fabric privacy screen. heavy duty black pet screen, and custom carpeted shelves for running, sitting and napping.

The fall weather has been perfect for sitting out there with the cats and we’re all enjoying it.

In other news, David Gordon of Bird Dog Arts stopped by last week for a studio visit. I love David because he’s fun, energetic and always enthusiastic about my art. It’s wonderfully inspiring when someone gets and appreciates my work.

David took quite a few scarves and cards for holiday sales, AND he’s going to feature my paintings and collages in a four-month show opening late May or early June 2024. I’m ecstatic!

My work looks impressive when viewed all together. Normally it’s stored away on shelves and I don’t see it. When I bring it out for a display, it looks fantastic! Here are a few pictures of how my studio looked for David’s visit that day. This is just a sampling of my art, and it’s work done over the past several years.

I’ll keep you posted about the dates for the show. In the meantime, I highly recommend Bird Dog Arts for your holiday shopping! It’s a huge 15,000 square foot gallery at the Tejon Outlet Mall filled with beautiful textile arts, ceramics, glass art, sculpture, and all sorts of lovely wall art. David’s goal is to make art accessible for everyone, and prices are very reasonable.

A large bank of Tesla charging stations is available right behind Bird Dog Arts for your EV convenience. The mall features premium designer outlet stores and nearby restaurants as well as Bird Dog Arts, and it’s only about 1-1/2 hours from LA or Ventura. It’s a fun day-trip.

Follow David and Bird Dog Arts on Instagram. His videos are wonderfully amusing, and it will give you a good idea of the work that he shows.

What exciting things are happening in your life? I’d enjoy hearing your thoughts. You can share them with us in the comments section below.

With love and appreciation,
Cassandra

  1. Do you have the most elegant catio in the universe? It certainly looks like that. You have such pretty cats and it’s so much fun to see them on Facebook doing all of their antics. I am in Madrid right now. I just got here from Stockholm. I am on an art tour with Fine Art, Connoisseur magazine. We are going to the Prado for five hours tomorrow! Stockholm was lovely and it’s nice to be settled in a hotel at last and hop in the bed! Love to you and congratulations on your upcoming show. That sounds so exciting. It’s wonderful to get to see all your work around you and one place displayed nicely.

  2. Love your Catio, fantastic!
